Paul studied fine art at the Glasgow School of Art, specialising in printmaking. Paul is known for his pop art screenprints and his association with Glasgow Print Studio. In recent years Paul has been working on a series of Icons. These Icons have intricate hand-made frames and are carefully finished with a distressed surface to look like old religious icons of saints. Hailing all the way from Glasgow, artist Paul Cassidy has joined us here in Manchester and we have a selection of his originals - meet one of them: Icon, Blue Madonna. Compact, and pleasingly heavy, the icon frame is hand crafted by Paul, with gold embellishment, it is a fabulous item for any interior.
