"Baiba was born effectively blind in one eye, with the doctors unable to pinpoint a cause for it. Over the years her other eye worsened and she now needs powerful aids to see. Because of this, images and colours have a very powerful impact on her, frequently remaining in her mind`s eye permanently - like a library.
She loves seeing how different people see the world through their art - it is a very intimate way of seeing someone else`s unique experience of it.
She needs to create her own images. She does this mostly using oil or digitally. The subject that fascinates her most is people. There is something interesting in everyone and everything and she wants to capture it"
