Blue Velvet - art print signed by Baiba Auria
A high quality archival Giclée print signed by Baiba Auria
The print is on 300gsm archival fine art paper which combines rich colours, deep blacks and a subtly textured finish.
Also comes with a gallery certificate of authenticity
Black wooden frame with glass front and white mount.
We frame to high standards at Egoiste Gallery, using:
- Ph Neutral mount and mounting tape to protect the print over time
- 2mm Float Glass front giving nice extra weight to the item and avoiding the bad reflections that come with perspex.
- Rigid metal tabs used to secure the print and backboard - prevents pressure on the glass from loosening the fixings.
Baiba was born effectively blind in one eye, with the doctors unable to pinpoint a cause for it. Over the years her other eye worsened and she now needs powerful aids to see.
Because of this, images and colours have a very powerful impact on her, frequently remaining in her mind`s eye permanently - like a library.
She loves seeing how different people see the world through their art - it is a very intimate way of seeing someone else`s unique experience of it.
She needs to create her own images. She does this mostly using oil or digitally. The subject that fascinates her most is people. There is something interesting in everyone and everything and she wants to capture it.
